Abstract:
The social problem of violence in schools affects us all. Violence is an issue that children face regularly while at school. Thus, those who will lead in the future are expected to learn in an environment that can be hostile. This problem affects adults as well. There are various forms of intervention that have been tried to deal with this issue. Social science researchers and educators have hypothesized that peer mediation programs can be very effective in various school settings. This paper will examine and discuss research done on how effective these programs can be. It will also explain how such a program could be implemented in the university setting.
