The unknown string theory : an honors thesis (HONRS 499)

The digital photographic exhibit consisted of ten works, which were created from photographic manipulation in Adobe Photoshop. The art deals with the many different feelings and sides to making a journey. In this case, the journey is graduation and what lies after. Each piece of the series takes a different aspect to this journey. Tying together all my different pieces is the element of string represented in each piece. The string symbolizes ties to family and friends, barriers to my goals and different emotions pulling on me. The content of these works uses self-portraits and other elements to convey each feeling. Each piece is manipulated in color and texture using different photographic images.
