Schools provide crucial opportunities for students, and are sometimes one of the most consistent for food, safety, and interaction with peers. As such Daisychain seeks to provide students with space to play, rest, and enrich their schooling experience. Pedagogical theory hint torwards several methods that benefit students, and teachers. Incorporation of biophilia, alternative classroom designs and designated areas for play and study breaks. The usage large garden terraces, and interior planters allow for a connection to be generated between the students and the school’s appearance. Investment from students encourages a desire to be at school, bolstering focus and engagement from students creating a positive feedback loop. Daisychain looks to be an example for schools going forward that others can emulate the core design philosophy and find ways to implement their own take.
