Abstract
The purpose of the public relations event planner is to provide the organizations key organizational people a specific guide to information regarding a special event. It is for internal circulation and gives a written brief of how the executive will effectively communicate with the media in attendance. This event planner is designed for the director of the National Museum of the American Indian and includes the agenda, talking points, question and answer briefing materials, interview tips, the press kit, and the media invitation list. The event is the inaugural opening of the museum's main branch in Washington, which is scheduled for 2001.
