In our fast paced technology-driven society it is difficult to keep up with recent changes in information and discoveries in astronomy. It is also difficult to contact students, teachers, and the community with information regarding astronomy by email alone. My school system (Carmel) is one of the largest in the state. It is trying to go to a consistent communications scheme. But it may be years before every teacher has the same email program that guarantees effective communication. The situation is made worse by constantly changing email addresses and inconsistent levels of maintenance on email accounts. Every teacher in our school district is connected to the Internet, most students and general public as well. A webpage appeared to be the best choice to communicate in a fashion that allows all or most of my audience opportunities for: class information, scheduling and program information, website resources, current research, planetarium programs that are currently running and information about the night sky.
