Abstract
The notion of virtue holds a prominent place in the history of western political thought. According to many theorists, virtue is demonstrated through values and actions developed in the political state. Many studies concentrate on some particular manifestation of virtue, like justice or beneficence. However, there are fewer studies that consider the relevance of virtue itself to modern political theory and politics. I argue that the conception of virtue as developed over the course of western political thought has relevance to contemporary politics today. I examine how virtue plays as a part in contemporary politics.
