Integration of ESL methods with career counseling techniques

To facilitate the enhancement of linguistic skills, gain comprehension of the cultural implications, and bring understanding of the complexity of the job search process, this Creative Project presents an integrated series of lesson plans designed to facilitate learning strategies for international graduate students' successful participation in the competitive job search process. These teaching strategies will encompass the broad topics of: (1) preparing for change; (2) assessments and options; (3) constructing a personal resume; (4) gaining access to the job market; (5) preparing for a job interview; and (6) practicing interview situations.
