Abstract
This thesis project allowed me to utilize all of the classes and educational resources during my four years at Ball State, providing a capstone experience to my education.Injuries to the ACL are common occurrences in athletics today. Knowing how to effectively treat these injuries requires skills from all areas of athletic training knowledge, from anatomy to rehabilitation. This thesis serves as a guide to ACL injuries, beginning with anatomy and physiology of the ACL, predisposing factors, evaluation, surgical options and eventually ending with rehabilitation. Although this guide is not patient specific, as all injuries are unique, it can be utilized as a tool with any ACL injury.
