In this collection of poetry, Love Is, I unpack my experiences and the layers of love. I recount certain moments of euphoric obsession, infatuation, and bliss. Showcasing how one can truly be consumed by it. Among those moments, I also confront being in love and in pain as well. The anger, longing, and heartbreak of it all. Some of these poems explore what it is like to be the “other woman” at times as well as spending years waiting on the love that I had given to be reciprocated. While most of the poems are dealing with the love I have experienced in the outer world, I still wanted to display the unconditional love I learned to have for myself in my inner world. In summary, this collection houses the balance, I have found, that love holds within itself and how unconditional love is personified through me.
