If a tree can bend : an honors thesis (HONRS 499)

In the creation of a collaged journaled-self-help book, many materials were envisioned and also incorporated. Family photographs, personal artwork, and found objects of interest were acquired and created. Writings on the themes of appreciation, importance, love, and happiness were constructed. With human and machine resources, the visual and the written works were then combined in ways ranging from a paperclip and tape to computer publication applications. Special care and much time were put into adjusting images in size, intensity, and quality. Attention was also brought to the written work, as editing and revising became a never-ending process. The project-the book-is the culmination of a chain of artwork, a journal of stories and prose, and an ongoing journey of discovery.
