The Indiana Academic Standards provide a solid framework for guiding educators through academic instruction. Throughout each subject area, there are common threads evident through the grade levels. A focus on "community" is one common thread in the area of SocialStudies. This topic is evident through K-5th grade. While each grade level focuses on differing components, the underlying foundation of community is evident.
