Abstract
The following thesis is an overview of the undergraduate research I performed during my last three semesters. I worked with Dr. Lynn Sousa in the area of Organic Chemistry, trying to synthesize, identify, and isolate a crown ether molecule that would be used in studies of fluorescence.
