Abstract
This project looks into possibilities for locating and developing a Transit Oriented Development (TOD) on redevelopable sites in the northeast quadrant of the Transportation Analysis Zones (TAZ) of Indianapolis. Among the few sites identified for development the study focuses on the Martindale-Brightwood and Citizen/King Park neighborhoods site and discusses in detail how a TOD can be implemented. The study presents a complete analysis of the present conditions of this site along with the recommendations for developing it into a transit oriented community. Apart from the design recommendations the paper also discusses the developmental issues and strategies for implementing the proposed plans. This document serves as a guide for developing a TOD on any redevelopable site in the Northeast quadrant of Indianapolis.
