Abstract

The purpose of this project was to develop a training program for new staff members in the Office of Admissions at Patrick Henry College. The program was based on findings from a review of the existing literature, the training programs of other admissions offices, and the content of professional admissions training workshops. The training program covers the first four weeks of employment for new staff members. During this time, new employees are oriented to the College and introduced to the basic operations of the Office of Admissions, their specific job duties, and the field of admissions.
