Abstract
A study of the work and influence of Fassett Allen Cotton as public school official and teachers' college administrator. These findings determine that Dr. Cotton was a major leader in the field of education in the early twentieth century; that legislation which he sponsored in Indiana furthered equal educational opportunity and raised professional teaching standards; and that as a teachers' college administrator Dr. Cotton successfully applied and proved his theories of education for teachers.
