Abstract
This study examines the degree of impact the introduction of mixed income housing, community based policing, and community centers have when trying to revitalize an inner city neighborhood. By studying these factors I hope to determine if such introductions into a neighborhood make a significant impact in improving the conditions of the neighborhood, and if the principals contained in the efforts should be applied to other neighborhood revitalization efforts. This research paper will examine three different HOPE VI developments and analyze the history of the site, census data from both 2000 and 2010, and the various principals contained in the new development.
