Abstract
This project analyzes the current traffic congestion problems along Northeastern Indiana's I-69 corridor, providing an in depth look at the region and identifying trends and suggesting mass-transit and Transportation Demand Management (TDM) solutions to address the issue. The study presents a complete analysis of congestion related problems that the major employment centers in Indiana such as FortWayne, Muncie, Hamilton County and Indianapolis are facing and suggests remedies. Census Transportation Planning Package, 2000 data has been used to analyze the trip generation and distribution for the entire region. This document serves as a guide for implementing TDM strategies to relieve congestion in the region.
