Abstract
This research provides a statistical description of the changes in trends and flows of international student at Ball State University between 1980 and 2004. Consequent to descriptive statistics the research tests the hypothesis that the inflow of international students from the Asian region, Eastern Europe and newly independent republics of the former Soviet Union was due to the dissolution of the Soviet Union. It is also argued that the inflow of international students from Eastern Europe and newly independent republics of the former Soviet Union at Ball State University was significant.
