Stormwater and small communities

This project reviews the history of stormwater, stormwater regulations in the United States and in Indiana. It reviews basic geological and watershed concepts and provides a guide for communities in Indiana to implement best practices for stormwater projects. Very little research has focused on the stormwater runoff issues uniquely affects small rural and/or heavily agricultural communities. Additionally, little professional expertise has been dedicated to helping such communities develop best practices to address these issues. This research seeks to begin this conversation.
