Abstract

Sigma kappa's Gamma Eta chapter has been on Ball State's campus for over 50 years. Documenting the history of the chapter is pertinent to having a successful future. For the past year and a half, I have been collecting and analyzing information about Gamma Eta’s history. Research for this project included many interviews, collecting information from past documents, and multiple trips to national headquarters in Indianapolis. The following items are a compilation of my research broken down into two main components: a DVD and a brochure. The DVD acts as a video scrapbook of Gamma Eta’s history. It also includes information about the philanthropy, sisterhood and social aspects of the sorority. A small summary video is also included for use in recruitment and other events. The brochure will be used as a supplement to the DVD for recruitment and other events. The brochure will be used as a supplement to the DVD for requirement and other events. The brochure will be used as a supplement to the DVD for recruitment or explanation purposes. The brochure breaks down the history and values of Sigma Kappa, the financial aspect of being a member, as well as basic facts about the sorority. These two items will be used in recruitment or other information sessions for interested women or parents.
