Abstract

This paper is divided into four sections, each of which aids future editors in different ways. The first section lists and explains each of the necessary steps an editor must take to produce the Odyssey. The second part recounts what the editors did in order to create the 2002 issue of the Odyssey, including why they did what they did and how it was accomplished. The third section is a guide for those individuals who are not familiar with QuarkXpress, the page layout program used to design and layout the Odyssey. The final section contains hard copies of objects used during the planning and production of the Odyssey. This includes names and numbers of useful contacts, posters used in promotions, editorial board applications, and much more. These four sections work together to create a valuable resource for future editors of the Odyssey.
