Teaching the student body : GLBT outreach opportunities and programs

Abstract

This research paper includes a comprehensive overview of working with people who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual or trans-gendered. The research within this document supports the affirmation of this group and advocates for further outreach workshops for educating others in the area of gay, bisexual, lesbian and trans-gendered issues. This article also includes several activities that therapists or group facilitators can use to help college students see the necessity of learning about those who may be different.
