Unknown Muncie : an honors thesis (HONRS 499)

Abstract

Muncie has changed a lot in the past few decades, shifting from a manufacturing-based community to a middle-class community trying to find new direction. There have been numerous efforts to clean up parts of Muncie and make it more appealing, but the fact remains that many students do not leave the Ball State University campus, the Village, or Downtown. Because of this, I used the Muncie Visitors Bureau as a starting point and profiles a few nearby locations that are interesting or unique. I found that there are actually appealing and inexpensive activities in Muncie that many students are unfamiliar with. Locations and contact information are also provided at the end of each segment.
