Abstract

In traditional poetry, it is quite common to see discussions of love and the emotions related to romance and passion. However, it is nearly unheard of to see these same poetic features used to illustrate and discuss non-romantic love. In this collection, Kissing Would Make it Weird, I present poems that discuss the nuance of both these relationships and the emotions and thoughts that come with them. The poems reflect a range of emotional responses in different manners in an attempt to address the complexities of life and love, especially when dealing with friends and family.
