Abstract

Mathematics is one of the most important subjects that helps us understand the world. To continue to excel through science, engineering, and other fields, there must be a mathematical foundation. This paper provides a historical overview of the role of women in mathematics, highlighting their contributions and challenges faced. We discuss the underrepresentation of women in math-related fields and analyze the factors that discourage girls from pursuing careers in mathematics. Finally, we present strategies to encourage young girls to develop an interest in mathematics and increase their participation in this field. The goal is to inspire and motivate the next generation of female mathematicians.
