Abstract

Many children living in orphanages face emotional and psychological challenges that can affect their development and understanding of the world. These include trauma, anti-social. While orphanages can teach children survival skills, they do not learn family skills. In Egypt, orphanages are a significant part of the community, yet they often fail to meet the social needs of the children they serve. With support and care, young orphans can have a bright future and contribute positively to society. That is why orphanages must provide not only shelter but also a home where they feel loved, secure, and appreciated. The "New Dream" project addresses the common issues in orphanages across Egypt. By creating a new type of orphanage that feels like a home, we can help the orphans in our community thrive. The design of the "New Dream" orphanage will meet the needs of the 150 children. It will provide plenty of space for each child to grow and develop and be flexible enough to adapt to their changing needs over time. With this new approach, a positive cycle of care that will support generations of orphans in Egypt.
