The structure of audio storytelling and building multimedia narratives in the fictional storyworld of Guerdric

Abstract

This paper is to accompany my graduate creative project, The Kingdom of Guerdric. Because my project is about multimedia storytelling, this paper will explore fictional world building using multimedia storytelling. The main emphasis of my project is on an audio narrative, The Secret of Guerdric Castle. Therefore, this paper will also focus on the structure and process of using dialogue, music, and sound effects to create a fictional world. Included in the content will be examples of other fictional worlds created through multimedia and audio. These examples will then be compared and contrasted to my project to show how my project fits in with other projects in its field.
