dc.description.abstract | This study aims at understanding why corruption happens on a local level of government. While looking at six different cases of corruption committed in the United States, this study has found four distinct factors to be in common in these cases. These factors are the size of government, condition of the economy, level of education, and political culture. Additionally, the study found that political culture is the most crucial factor when determining if a government would lead to corruption. | en_US |
