Alzheimer's disease : a neurodegenerative disease : an honors thesis (HONRS 499)

Abstract

Alzheimer's disease, an incurable neurodegenerative disease, plagues millions of Americans. The scientific community has put Alzheimer's disease at the forefront of research and hundreds of organizations and labs are dedicated to providing a broader understanding of the disease. This thesis will review the current research on disease etiology, diagnostic tools, risk factors and treatment.
