Abstract

The Holocaust is one of if not the most heinous act committed in general knowledge history. Many Americans are aware that it occurred, but perhaps not always of the details of what occurred. I analyzed the methods of survival used by Jewish people during the Holocaust and how these methods carried on past their liberation to ensure the preservation and continuance of their culture. Through music, art, and memory the Jewish people were not only able to live through the oppression and mass genocide but were able to give their children an opportunity to live freely. However, the importance of remembering what happened during the Holocaust has been lost in recent years, causing a spike in antisemitism and people who believe the Holocaust didn’t happen. In this Thesis, I write on how the Jewish people survived and how their previous methods will likely be the answer to their survival once again.
