Spectators perceptions of security at sporting events

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine at what level spectators feel safe attending sporting events. The study was also designed to determine what types of security measures make spectators at athletic events feel safe. Which will allow facility owners may make the necessary changes to help their spectators feel safe while attending events in their venue. Facility owners may then make the necessary accommodations to their facility. In return the facility owners will maintain a stronger fan base while maintaining a safe environment for entertainment.
