Green infrastructure to achieve traffic noise mitigation

Abstract

Today, motor vehicles are one of the significant symbols of modern civilization. People travel by different transportations every day. In urban core area, because of the high value of land and high density of individuals, government tends to use every piece of land to build something. But there are still vast amounts of space along traffic interchanges which are vacant or unutilized due to loud noises and other adverse conditions. This creative project will identify green infrastructure principles that can be applied to landscape architecture design in order to mitigate traffic noise while also providing usable open space in urban core areas.
