Abstract

At the moment, there is a major need for bilingual speech-language pathologists and bilingual speech therapy tools. The amount of people in the U.S. who speak more than one language at home increases by a significant amount each year. Many of these people are children who are still developing in areas of speech and language. Providing a bilingual, movement-based speech therapy children’s book will provide future speech-language pathologists and parents with a resource to improve their child’s articulation and language skills. Including movement in this book provides the opportunity for improved attention during a reading session and increased memory of the information processed.
